About The Short

Three devils walk into a PR firm…

Our story begins with "The Unholy Trinity" meeting at a corporate PR agency. They're sick of the world thinking that they're the same person and that they're men. Not to mention all of their personal problems...

SATINE a.k.a. Satan struggles to be recognized as a strong woman in a patriarchal, God-forsaken world. DEVILLE a.k.a. The Devil desperately wants to regain control over the seven deadly sins, but people these days only see her as a sexy Halloween costume. Meanwhile, fallen Angel LUCY a.k.a. Lucifer suffers from an empathy complex and feels like a fraud in the evil world. She can’t even tempt a human to litter without triggering an anxiety attack.

Enter corporate PR consultant, VESPA SHARKE. For her, image is religion and she will sacrifice misinformation, outright lies, and maybe even a terrified Cater Waiter at its altar. It seems like a match made in Hell for our devils… until Vespa suggests she has the power to bring them down as well.

About The Potential Series

My latest projects

Wicked Image was originally imagined and shot as a 10-minute short film. However, as we built out the characters and dug into their backstories, we realized that there were more stories and an exciting world left to explore. So we started to think: what would Wicked Image: the Series look like?

SETTING THE STAGE

In our world, the devils are one side of a good vs. evil coin. Sure, they cause global warming and piss off God for fun, but they’re just doing their jobs to maintain balance in the Universe.

But modern humans have become distracted by false devils — from their phones, to ruthless capitalistic pursuits, to a “Bigger! Better! Faster!” culture — and no longer pay homage to the original architects of evil.

With humanity starting to best them at their own game, the devils have no choice but to take down the really bad ones in order to reclaim the mantle of “Top Evil”.

THE EPISODES

Each episode of a potential series would pit our devils against a bad human personifying a modern-day vice — from nefarious corporatization, to social media narcissism, to modern-day gluttony.

But just because our heroines are the standard bearers of evil doesn’t mean that they don’t have problems too. Each episode will feature Lucy contending with a crippling empathy and trying to suppress a growing dark power; Deville learning to loosen up while starting to reclaim her smiting prowess; and Satine examining her hard-lining feminist beliefs while debating whether to give her ex — the archangel, Gabriel — a second chance.

THEMES

Wicked Image the film was written as an ode to powerful women, their struggles, and the unfair reputations often thrust upon them. It features four strong female leads who challenge entrenched, engendered stereotypes. A future series would continue this female-forward approach, and tackle a host of social ills with sense of style and razor-sharp wit.
